Kayaking Tip
Wind, water, and waves can muffle a child's voice...even within a few feet. Panic or confusion makes them even harder to hear. A good whistle like The Storm 400, blasts through most background sounds and can be blown by even very small children. Make sure that one is attached to each child's PFD and that they know what it's for and how to use it. It's not a toy. Keep the lanyard short to avoid tangling around the childs neck and also to keep it from getting hung-up on obstructions.
